Earth Day will take place on April 22 this year and in honor of the day we wanted to share some events happening across the state that you and your family can participate in. Together, we can protect our Earth!

The 2018 Earth Day Indiana Festival will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Historic Military Park at White River State Park. Come to the festival for local food vendorskid’s activities, over 125 exhibitors, live music, and a 5K run/walk.

Practice Indie Yoga and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail are working together to beautify our city this Earth Day! As their seva (service) project, Practice Indie’s Spring 2018 Teacher Trainees are offering two yoga classes on Sunday, April 22nd. The recommended minimum donation is $10 per attendee, and each 60-minute session is capped at 100 guests.

Columbus – Earth Day for Kids

Seeds of Caring and Woodward Park Recreation Center are excited to provide this opportunity for kids and their families to give back in celebration of Earth Day. Event activities will include: preparing and planting the center’s educational garden, litter clean-up, making wildflower seed bombs, decorating brown paper grocery bags with Earth Day messages, and more! Join us for an afternoon of meaningful Earth Day fun! Although the event will run for 2 hours, you do not need to stay the entire time if this is too long for your family.

Join us for Craft Night featuring Earth Day Seed Bombs! Our resident workshop coordinator, Rebecca Prato, will be guiding the craft night. All materials are included in the cost of the class and you will go home with wildflower seed bombs in hand!

Celebrate Earth Day 2018 at Hobbytown with some fun activities kids will love! Each attendee gets a free local geode to smash open and discover the beautiful minerals inside. Try out our Solar Paper and create a unique piece of art. Kids can dig for a souvenir worm or bug in our dirt pit. Paint and decorate a flower pot and plant a seed to nurture and grow.
