INDIANAPOLIS— Today, the Indianapolis Star reported that Diego Morales potentially committed voter fraud by voting in Hendricks County in 2018 despite living in Marion County and claiming a homestead deduction in Marion County. State Senator Fady Qaddoura (D-Indianapolis), a member of the Senate Elections Committee, made the following statement:

“As a member of the Senate Elections Committee, I take all claims of potential voter fraud very seriously. Accordingly, I am calling on Governor Holcomb and Secretary of State Sullivan to join me in calling for a thorough investigation of these claims by local prosecutors.

“It’s deeply concerning that the same political party that attempts to downplay the January 6, 2021 attack on the US capitol and claims that certain elections were illegitimate without any proof is supporting a candidate that potentially committed voter fraud. Hoosiers shouldn’t accept that and Diego Morales should be investigated for voter fraud, just as any other Hoosier would be.”
