Even though we're not currently in session, the legislature continues its work during the interim. This is the time when we dive deep into key issues through study committees to develop thoughtful public policy recommendations. This interim, I’m serving on 11 committees, including the Budget Committee and several other critical study committees. I’m committed to using this time to ensure we’re prepared to tackle Indiana’s biggest challenges when session resumes in 2026.I’ll continue to share updates as we dig into the work. Stay tuned. #INForAll ... See MoreSee Less

Yesterday, I attended the third of four public events hosted by the Continental Divide Commission Trail. All four gatherings saw incredible turnout from the community, with residents showing up to share their vision for the future of St. Joseph County.I’m excited to see these ideas take shape and come to fruition! If you weren’t able to attend in person, you can still share your thoughts by filling out the community survey here: midwestcontinentaldivide.com/survey #INForAll ... This Saturday, I had the honor of attending the Goodwill Military Stand Down event and presenting a proclamation co-authored by Rep. Bauer, Rep. Teshka and me. A heartfelt thank you to the Goodwill Veterans Resource Network for their incredible work and unwavering support for those who have served our country. Events like this are a powerful reminder of the importance of standing with our veterans, not just in words, but through action, services and meaningful community support. Our veterans have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms. I will continue to support policies that improve the lives of veterans and their families, who have given so much to both their country and community. It’s our duty to ensure they are never left behind. #INForAll ... See MoreSee Less

The Midwest Continental Divide Commission will host a series of public meetings to gather input from residents as it develops a long-term vision for St. Joseph County and its trail network. As a member of the Commission and author of Senate Bill 468, I am proud to see this initiative move forward. The legislation secured $2 million annually for the next 20 years to support community-driven planning focused on outdoor recreation, ecotourism and regional development. These engagement sessions are a vital opportunity for residents to help shape the future of our county. I encourage all community members to attend, listen, and share their perspectives.Public Engagement Sessions hosted by Community Redevelopment Partners:Tuesday, July 15• 3:00 PM – Rum Village Nature Center, 2626 S. Yesterday, we broke ground on the Leeper Park reconstruction and honored David Filer by dedicating a tennis court to him, a tribute to the sport he loved. A true testament to our community’s strength and lasting memories. #INForAll
