INDIANAPOLIS — On Tuesday, the Indiana Senate Democratic Caucus welcomed its newest member, State Senator J.D. Ford (D-Indianapolis). Senator Ford was officially sworn in on Organization Day, becoming the next Senator from District 29, which covers parts of Marion, Boone and Hamilton counties.

“I am completely humbled and honored to have been elected the Senator from District 29,” Sen. Ford said. “It is a time to celebrate for all Hoosiers, but it is not a time to rest. I intend to get to work right away making sure all Hoosiers have a voice in the Statehouse. I was elected to represent all of my constituents, and that is what I will do every day as your Senator.”
