For Hoosiers, there are many signs that it is summertime in Indiana, and one of the most visible is the Indiana State Fair. Last year over 900,000 fairgoers visited the fairgrounds during the 17-day event to show or view livestock, enjoy a concert, ride rides at the midway, and of course enjoy the fair food.

This year’s Indiana State Fair will run for 17 days, spanning 3 weekends, and begin August 3 and will end on August 19. The theme for the fair this year is the circus-centric Step Right Up!, highlighting Indiana’s history with various circus troupes. Visitors to the fair will be able to learn about the big top, explore interactive exhibits, and experience a live performance each day. Admission to the Big Top is included with your entrance fee into the fairgrounds.

As in previous years, the Indiana State fair will offer promotional days and deals throughout the fair. Members of the military, first responders, farmers, and AAA members are just a few of the people who can receive discounted tickets on different days during the duration of the fair. Special promotion will also be available on Tuesdays, where entrance will be discounted to $2, and patrons may also enjoy select food throughout the fair for $2.
